320 people have been arrested for practicing sorcery and religious cults according to police in Papua New Guinea , a country in which belief in sorcery is widespread

The police lead raids in 3 towns arresting leaders of "cargo cult", cults which believe that Western goods or cargo are created by ancestral spirits along with followers

One Cargo Cult group in Sadau village used skeletons from ancestors to summon "supernatural powers" aimed at predicting the future and bring prosperity.
