I know this was posted this a long time ago, but I just started learning perl for myself, started by reading Learning Perl, and Programming Perl, both O' Reiley published. Those links are great, except for a couple that have been broken up since posted here. I got all of that on cd, yes, the entire texts of both books I just mentioned plus Perl In A Nutshell and an ass-load of other perl texts all stored on one cd, including my uncle's notes he took from a perl course last year. If anyone's interested in seeing lemme know ...

Like I said, it's a load of information on one cd. There are 3 parent folders: PERL_NOTES, PERL_CD_BOOKSHELF_v2, and PERL_CD_BOOKSHELF_v3. In total I have 7,161 files, all equaling 141MB. Now that I think of it, it would be much easier to just burn a copy of it. I want to share it with whoever wants it. So I'll pick up some cd's today and burn you a copy. For each page in the book there is a html file, this also includes the appendix of each book. [thumb]

I've been learning a lot of perl lately too, and THE single most important Perl site has not yet been listed.
