Okay I have been in the BBS sceen for what 4 mabey 5 years now and I see people take the term newbie like it is an insult.

Okay guys. Who dosen't start out a newbie. A Newbie can learn and grow. However the idiot who flames him will still most likely use their personailty for birth control. Now don't get me wrong. Some guys deserve flames. But not knowing something isn't a flaw. It is simply lack of knowledge. Now if that person is here... I assume it is lack of knowledge with desire to learn. What do you guys think.

It was me wink . Newbies are the next generation, so are clueberts.

Newbie: Someone new to the scene
Scene Whore: A chick that hangs out
Cluebert: Someone with no clue who will never have one

I agree to all the above!

Its just people that think they are l33t (yes in that written way or any other numbered way or caps lock hangin ways) when they first start opening their mouth after having plaid quake 3 and being able to administrate the q3 server console commands - and supposibly know it all, those are the people that are "newbies" that we cannot accept! Sorry!

But thats my point of view.

The use of "hacker" to mean "security breaker" is a confusion on the part of the mass media. We hackers refuse to recognize that meaning, and continue using the word to mean, "Someone who loves to program and enjoys being clever about it."

LoL. Hey you can at least give them an E for effort, right?

I think the flames are for people who have the wrong idea about computer knowledge (clueberts, if you will) People who ask questions about hacking hotmail and windows and such are the people who need to be flamed in order to knock some sense into them, trust me, it's for their own good. Untill people start asking good questions (questions that provoke actual knowledge) they will probably get flamed. The sooner they start to realise that no one is going to hack for them, and they need to learn it themselves, the better. It usually isn't until they realise this that they REALLY decide wether or not they want to hack, crack or do whatever else with computers.

Gizmo, how can Clueberts be the next generation if they haven't a clue? What kind of generation are you talking about? The next generation of computer users? Because they pretty much already are the present generation. That's why we have people like Bill Gates, to do all the work for clueberts. And the people at Apple, who make computers especially easy for clueberts, idiots, or whatever you wanna call them. laugh

Newbies aren't bad people, they're just misunderstood <img border="0" alt="[Alien]" title="" src="graemlins/alien.gif" />
aCK! I take that back, they're not misunderstood, they just misunderstand. There's a difference.

Their still going to be here when the rest of us get lives... A new generation is a group of people who are the next in line for something. I've been in the scene since I was 5, I don't plan on being in it too much longer, just owning UGN...

bill gates is the king of clueberts frown .
