Thai authorities have expressed concern over some images of Thai government buildings shown clearly on the Google Earth service. Google Earth is plugged as "a 3D interface to the planet" and allows users to zoom in to individual buildings.
Authorities in Thailand will first discuss the problem with security agencies and telecommunications companies before making a formal request that Google block the images of government structures from its Google Earth service.
Maj. Gen Weerasak Manee-in, an Armed Forces spokesperson, said: "We are looking for possible restrictions on these detailed pictures, especially state buildings. I think pictures of tourist attractions should do." Source
