Apple Computer Incorporated reports that its iTunes online service has sold a million videos in under 20 days. On October 12th, Apple made available 2,000 music videos and episodes of "Lost" and ABC's "Desperate Housewives" for download at $1.99.

"Selling one million videos in less than 20 days strongly suggests there is a market for legal downloads," said Steve Jobs, Apple CEO. "Our next challenge is to broaden our content offerings."

Wall Street analysts, media and technology are watching this closely for proof that a market for legal downloading of videos may exist.
