At a campaign stop in West Virginia, US President George W. Bush defended the decision to invade Iraq, calling the campaign a “catastrophic success”.

"I want to remind you that Saddam Hussein had the capability of making weapons of mass destruction, and he could have passed that capability on," Bush said, also admitting that WMD’s have not yet been found.

Democratic VP contender John Edwards said Bush was “half right," explaining, "It was catastrophic to rush to war without a plan to win the peace."
