Truce Called in US-China Hacking War

An amateur hacking war between Chinese hackers and American hackers that began with a US spy plane incident on April 1, 2001 may be coming to an end as the Chinese 'Honker Union' claims it has reached its goals and is calling a unilateral cease-fire.

The 'Honker Union' has stated that from this point forward any incidents will have no connection to them. The group also claims to have hacked more than a thousand US sites.

The hacking in both directions is believed to be primarily website defacements and is termed a 'graffiti blitz.'
