The Saudi newspaper Al-Majallah received a message today in which al-Qaeda has claimed responsibilty for yesterdays bombings of British interests in Turkey. It was sent by Abu Mohammed al-Ablaj, who claims to be a spokesman for the terror group.

"Al-Qaeda and its associates throughout the world are the ones that carried out the two swift attacks" the message said. It also said that "The moment the first Japanese soldier sets foot in Iraq, al-Qaeda will hit at the very core of of Tokyo."

The message went on to threaten new attacks on the US. "The Americans and the coalition forces should prepare themselves, from now, for a larger number of hospitals and graves."
