As the Superman Ride of Steel roller coaster was coming to an end, a man fell from his seat and dropped to the ground. A witness reported that the men fell out when the roller coaster hit a curve.

The victim was later pronounced dead. in a hospital

The ride was inspected and and given approval for operation Saturday morning. It was also inspected and certified for operation prior to the park's seasonal opening on April 17.

In August of 2001, 22 people were injured on the same ride when one car collided with another.

The roller coaster reaches a height of 20 stories and 80 miles per hour.
