40 freezing naked students streaked through Berlin to protest $90 million in proposed spending cuts to Berlin's three universities. They chanted "We're here, we're naked and cutting funds for education is stupid".
German universities used to be among the world's best and have slipped in recent years. Generally free, political leaders are proposing introducing fees to offset costs.
Hundreds also protested in Frankfurt, outside the World Cup qualifying draw.
