Despite the RIAA-supported Inducing Infringement of Copyrights Act (SB2560) which would levy major fines against those who "intentionally aids, abets or induces" people to violate copyright laws, P2P firm eDonkey says it will stay in NYC.

The company says: "We hope that our status as a New York company sends a strong signal that we see ourselves as a legitimate, tax-paying software company, a technology company that the entertainment industry can do business with."

eDonkey hopes that the entertainment industry will learn to work with P2P firms instead of working against them. The company is also working on a "kdrive" which is describes as a potential "secure virtual global hard drive."
