Hrm. I personally think it would be better to learn html rather than use a program for several reasons, one being that it is a good start if you want to get into programming. Another is the control. Also, learning to use a complex program like Frontpage would almost be harder than learning html, and you don't get as much out of it as in writing it yourself. And from some of the stuff I have seen made by wysiwyg's, it looks like it could be optimized alot more than it is. I recommend downloading Dreamweaver for a 30 day trial from macromedia's website. (i am not supposed to say i support warez) Also, if you decide to go with html, download Note Tab Light from http://www.notetab.com. It is a nice text editor with some html features and a bunch of stuff they tell you about at the site. Good luck to you.

ok they all have a point, u need to learn html really to understand what the WYSIWYG does not do right when you want it another way. sometimes those editors add stupid div or span tags that just get in the way.
html is not a programming language it is markup, and it sux, and it is easy - so learn html!
if u want to do the complex stuff that web pages all over the world do now like UGN, the learn about databases with php or asp or cgi(i would not bother learning cgi), now you are getting into programming.
but well for an easy one with everything put on your plate i suggest a program such as codecharge! its free, it does not do my job but it might do yours!
ohh yeah gizmo, pred is right frontpage does just suck the lamas *** ! and instead of dreamweaver i suggest strongly ultradev! and if ur still not happy shut up and use notepad thats how i started in the old days!!!
chau
ps. i am not queer unlike crime so nicely made it seem!

ROFLMAO, lookes like you know what you're speaking about (NOT!) Well Did you see 7 year ago that advanced websites as nowdays? No. It was all very basic nothing graphicly. So it wasn't that hard to create websites in an editor. Next time think before you post or STFU!

Learn HTML man. Christ there is a tut on this board. It is the easyest thing to learn. I think it took me 2 days. Plus it will help you when you start adding Java script and other elements to your site. If I were you I would do this Learn HTML Learn CSS Learn Java Script (Little more advanced) Learn to use DHTML Learn a little perl Learn C Get pro hosting Learn XHTML Learn XML Learn Flash (whole different ball game but Java script can be used here) So either start in the webdesign forum with the tut I posted or start here where I did. http://hotwired.lycos.com/webmonkey/teachingtool/html.html

Creating dynamic sites with a WYSIWYG (or whatever!) is close to impossible because of their inability to do coding stuff. Look at www.scallion.sp00fed.net! I coded it all by hand! No wysiwyg could do that. I usually go for vi on *nix or HTML-Kit on windows.
