Anyway it freezes and the last tone played via the sound is repeated non stop. I`v tried updating the bios video card drivers sound card drivers any thing i could think of all to date. Even e-mailed the motherboard company about it never told me anything. Heres list of my hardware.

Next time it does that pop the case off right away and check the temp on the card with your hand. It most likely will be really hot, some cards over heat real bad and when they do they either reboot the system or freeze. You might have to get a PCI Fan to suck the heat off the card....or something along the lines of that. Or i'm completly wrong and it could be something else.

my computer seems to have the same problem, not during games, but just using winamp, opera, or visual basic it seems to freeze and repeat the sound over and over. once it gave me a message that there was a memory overload, i ultimately had to reinstall my os. at first i thought it was the heat issue, and maybe it is, but when i saw "memory overload" it occured to me that it could be something else. i don't see why it would overload, i have plenty of ram, hd space, and i wasn't running many programs at the time. if anyones had this problem lmk so i can correct it

Actually RAM Overload could be from a couple of things. One RAM is over heating (which is rare), there is a problem with the operating system, or the ram is going out. Most of the time when i come across this it is the OS corrupting.

it takes a lot of ram to run an operating system. especially some of the new ones. so if you think you have a lot of ram, it could be just enough for your OS, and a few others things.

then again, maybe you have 1 gig of rdram, and im dead wrong.
