In 1988 Barry J. Laughman was jailed for allegedly raping and murdering an elderly woman. Police say he confessed to details that only the perpetrator would know. Experts, however, say he had an IQ of 70 when he admitted his guilt.

The local newspaper from Harrisburg, the Patriot-News, looked into DNA samples from the crime scene and discovered that the semen did not belong to Laughman. Now after 16 years in prison, he has been released.

However, Laughman had to post $30,000 bail, is being monitored and has to attend another hearing regarding this case. Tonight he is celebrating his release at an all you can eat diner.
