Actor Jeffery Jones, who played the high school principal in 'Ferris Bueller's Day Off," has been accused of failing to register as a sex offender in relation to soliciting a 14-year-old boy to pose for sexually explicit photos.

The charges were made a year ago; Jones plead no contest and was sentenced to 5 years probation, undergo counseling and register as a sex offender (SN reported). He registered the address he lived at last year but moved and didn't register again.

Sex offenders are required to notify authorities of a change of address within 48 hours of moving.
Jones was arrested and later released on $1,000 bail. He could not be reached by reporters. He has also starred in 'Beetlejuice' and 'Sleepy Hollow.'
