eBay has removed an auction from its website, and says that they will be reporting the person who posted it to authorities. The auction offered three young Vietnamese women for shipment to Taiwan.
eBay spokesman Hani Durzy said that the auction "was an egregious violation of not only eBay policies but also the law."
"It (the auction) was pulled as soon as we were aware of it. Anything illegal is against our policies. There is absolutely no room for human trafficking" on eBay, Durzy said. A screenshot of the auction showed that it was posted on March 2.
