A message that has been showing up in the Usenet newsgroups of Osama Bin Laden's suicide along with photos, is actually a virus which releases malicious software code that compromises the computer user's security.

While the U.S. has been hunting for Bin Laden since 2001, the file attachment was designed to get unsuspecting readers to open the file, which releases the code. This is similar to the Anna Kournikova virus that was used awhile back.

Once opened, the virus unleashes a Trojan horse program making it possible for hackers to take over the infected computers, and also Microsoft's operating systems. The rule is if you don't know the origin of the message, don't open it.
