Joost Tonino, a public prosecutor in the Netherlands, decided to trash his computer because the operating system would not activate. He figured a virus was causing this problem. A cab driver found the PC and gave it to a crime reporter.

The reporter discovered the prosecutor's credit card number, social security number, tax information, and his email address. Tonino is lucky a thief did not take his PC. Equally disturbing is the amount of legal information that was found on the PC.

The reporter was able to find details about a murder investigation regarding a real estate magnate accused of insider trading. Details of accusations that a soccer team committed tax evasion could also be found.
