pred: I know ur intentions are good but it requires someone with a little more knowledge than using the win os to be able to install gimp!
but nevertheless its a sweet paint proggy!
otherwise u can always try photoshop and fireworks and crack them.
get KaZaA and download Paint Shop or Photo Shop or somethin like that.
I recommend this one. Totally free. Not warez. Pretty good, though I dont have much experience in graphic design. So check it out ya self!

Wally is a good one. You can search it, forgot the website. However was designed for games such as the quake series, then moved onto half-life. It can be used for several stuff. Check it out.
what i use is not actually a paint program but actually an image editor. it called IrfanView. you can add effects and text to your graphics and convert graphic formats. its prety good.

I personally really like Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro. I tried the Gimp, but when I tried it, they still didn't have all the bugs out.
There are a wealth of tutorials on the internet that can help you do some stuff, but they are complicated usually and it is good to get the hang of the program first.
