Well, IceMyst and I got our first EeePC in the mail the other night; quite an impressive little machine (4GB Solid State Disk, SDHC card reader, 7" screen, WirelessG network card all on a nice Linux platform).

We ordered it from EGoodz.com and actually had a great shopping experiance with them (which we where worried about due to their PriceGrabber reviews).

I'm planning to purchase a Black EeePC for myself and upgrade the internal ram to the 2GB max it supports, then buy an 8GB SDHC card for myself and run EeeBunto on it (Ubunto for the Eee); there are plenty of mobile solutions, but until Ubunto's "reloaded" release is out, I'll play on EeeBunto wink...

I have to ask though, how many of you have one of these? I know Deffy does, but I'm not sure about anyone else though...

The one problem I'm having is that the default Xandros install won't work for [censored] with WPA keys; luckily I have a secondary router here running WEP (yes, come own my wireless network, lots of goodies inside)...

I'm loving the little thing so far. It's really easy to use and it doesnt feel bogged down like windows. It came with 5 games on it including a ghetto version of Mr. Potato Head. Everything is easy to find and use on it.

The best part for me though is i can fit it into my little backpack purse. Who the [censored] would expect an laptop in a tiny purse? laugh

What's amusing is that you'll be fine with the stock os, whereas i'll promptly put UbuntuEEE on mine with Netbook Remix...

You can upgrade the RAM to a full 2gb as well; though the default kernel doesn't have highmem support compiled in (yet another reason to upgrade lol)

Figured I'd post that I'm planning to upgrade the memory to the Trancend 2GB DDR2 667

I'm also going to be buying a couple SDHC cards; but hadn't decided on 8gb or 16gb... lol
