What kind of board is this realy!!?????

I was pointed to this board at some stage of my infoseeking, about "HACKING", but as i read on, it seems this board has a weird filosofi.
This is no insult of any kind to the makers of this board, but i wonder.

is this all about hacking, or computers in general. and i managed to post a reply where i refered to a site dealing with warez, that was my mistake, cus moments later i got a message from a administrator or whatever that they don`t relate to warez here.

I dont get it, you discus hacking, port scanning, and telnet and other stuff wich is used in ilegal computer [censored].
i guess aproximetly 80-90% of the individuals reading and posting on this board does so to learn how to hack unaouthorized into anothers computer or hotmail account.

But my little reply on warez was totaly unaxeptible.

Warez is illegal, in the same sense so is hacking. We are kept online by a very thin thread, as you see our site deals with a little of everything, most questionable.

Where we do discuss pretty much everything, there are certain things that we will not tollerate, one being warez.

If we get shut down it will be due to that one that we let by, so we're a little stern with every one of our rules.

Exploiting hotmails code is idiotic, it's kind of like saying "hey man, i want to [censored] your sister, can you hook me up?"...

Warez is illegal, linking to warez is just as bad as hosting it. If we host warez our site will be terminated. Theres your logic.

And flames make you smarter, and give you ground to learn what not to do. It's posts like this that are the waste of time.

We discuss differnt ways to hack, which is not illegal. Port Scanning as well is, not illegal, and why would telnet be illegal?

As I and many many many other people have said before. Hacking is not doing illegal activity such as gaining unauthorized access to remote systems. As much as I hate to tell you, you proably won't learn to hack here, and it sure won't be overnight. What we WILL do, is point you in the direction that you will need to go to learn for yourself, and help you if you are stuck, exhausted ALL your own resouces, and can't think of anything else. Then almost everyone would be more than happy to help you.

The reason why we don't post illegal things here, this site is running the risk of being shut down. So I hope that helped you out a little, I know I got a little off topic. I've been seeming to do that lately.

Like Shinobi said above, none of these things are illegal. How do you figure they are illegal ???

And Hacking is a state if mind, Hacking cab be MANY things, not just breaking into a computer system.

Lets say you tricked someone to giving you $10 extra. Thats Hacking. Lets say you found a way to get in the movies for free, thats hacking also. You finding holes in the system and are exploiting them.

You can't learn hacking. You must know a vast amount of information on technology, you must know the in's and out's of a OS. You cant just click couple of buttons and your done.... You need to know a lot of things before you start hacking.

Papers, Links, can only help teach you the topic, you need to use your own logic, programming skills, or whatever needs to be used to start hacking.

If your learning Hacking just to get some free movies, or hotmail accounts, i really dont think u should be learning about hacking.

Oh i know telnet is not ilegal, but you can use it in the prosess of an ilegal action.

OKay, if you dont have any Computer Logic in your head, your not getting far. You think knowing some tricks will get you into a system. You need computer logic in Cracking. Your not going to learn this in some txt's and posts, you need to develope this yourself.

Good Warez site move every day, to every hour and switch dns names everyday. I am not talking about the little Dnet or what ever network its on, channel on irc. People do get arrested for warez, ip's are loged everywhere you download warez.

There was a group of guys that got arrested and jailed for warez. Forgot the name of it, a member here "Mustard" told me about it.

Agreed thats is sorta scamming, but you use a skill called Social Engineering. Social Engineering plays a big part in hacking.

About hacking, can't a burger flipper become a burger hacker if has advanced knowledge of physic and how the buger is going to fall off the flipper when he tilts the grease coated surface to allow the burger to flip and not just fall on it's side? Wouldn't it be the same to say a master chef is a hacker of food, knowing how all ingredients taste when combined and how to achieve a certain taste. Couldn't a mechanic be a hacker if he knew the physics of how a car worked, and was able to create parts, rebuild anything. Or is it safe to say that the term hacker is something that has only come into the dictionary in the comuter age? I like computers, my only talent is computers. if I want to be able to have the "good life" don't I need to be a "hacker" of my field, computers? I don't really care about getting access to MS's site, I don't care about who owes the IRS what. All I care about is computers, technology, 1's and 0's...and the ocasional "sin tax". I guess I'll call it a day, I'm going to be sitting for 5 hours in a car and ym computer chair is one of thes metal foldable ones, although slightly thicker :p , bam-bam biggalo uses to smash the hulk with...wcw, back in the day.
