Me and someone else have a plan of connectiong his DSL so we both get it going, for two computers, like a network connection, we've talked about it, what we need, how its going to work, but i can use a second opinion to make sure it can be done, need to know what the exact items that we need, like the cable, what other things are we gonna have to do and is it possible to get it working, even though he lives next door, well thanx, hope you guys can help

Illegal if the ISP does not know about it.....Cause they will want to charge you some money....$$$

Well you don't need a hub (you only need it if you want to connect more than 2 computers), just some crossover cable (and offcourse 2 network cards :D) and an internet sharing program as sygate or something like that.

yeh sygate is very nice and simple to setup/use

What I do to share my internet connection between my computers is plug my modem into a router. Then use RJ45 cable to plug each computer into the router. Set up the options on ur network card and ur done. It costs around $150 CAN for a router and like $25 for 50 feet of cable.

dev, like i told u a million times, u'll most likely be running with UTP cables if u want something inexpensive..those dont have alot of distance, so if your as far as i say u are, there might or might not be a considerable amount of data and/or speed loss...i know this, ive read the official MCSE training book set like front to back like three times...hey i was bored...=/
