http://www.zend.com/php5/articles/engine2-php5-changes.php

With the introduction of public and private classes, The new object model, MySQLi object interface, and more....

It seems everyone is copying Java. The move is all on object oriented programing. ASP.net is more like Java that ASP, now PHP 5.0.0 is moving that direction.

Anyone have any thoughts on this. Pergesu, you still suck.

It's not that everyone is copying Java, just that languages are adding more OOP features. Java wasn't the first language with OOP principles, though it is probably the most mature language designed entirely around OOP. PHP is including it because it's becoming a popular methodology. I think more people are becoming aware of the benefits of OOP, and it's nice to see that languages are accomodating that. In the end, it's just a different approach to doing the same thing.

spanky, I rock your world.
