Pergesu, after many tutoials and texts on Java. several bibles on JSP, I came back to your lessons which now are quite clear and easy to me. Not sure why I didn't get them before.

There are some syntax errors in your code examples but that was good. I actualy had to trouble shoot the code some. Thanks again and you now have another follower.

Now on with the questions

Quote:

num1 > num2
or
num1 < num2
I want to show the actual value of the variables.

Code
JOptionPane.showMessageDialog("num1 = " + num1);
JOptionPane.showMessageDialog("num2 = " + num2);
Java will automatically figure out how to convert any primitive type (ints, chars) or any object into a String, so for any method that requires a String argument, you can just pass the variable, or as in this case, build a string.

There were a couple versions of the tutorials floating around, some with those errors you mentioned, and some where I had them fixed. If I get some time this weekend, I'll fix everything, or you can use it as a project and do it yourself, and save the changes online.

Heh Perg, maybe you shouldn't worry about the gizzy bites now when you go to bed, worry about the syntax face outside your window shivering staring in from the cold:X

Liek I do like perg's sam adam's quote. I'm a big founding fathers guy, also I liek the beer kthx. Corona, and coors I drink more though. All of them had some pretty tight quotes. Um, perg, sr, neo, giz, para, meh lots of ppl in ugn code, and have coding skills. We're board ppl with mathimatical minds, that are wasted by our lack for potential output, and motivation. For most of us, a relationship with a woman doesn't change that either. We all have our path to walk, and we all wait sometimes. We're all gonna get to a point sometime though I think, when find a worthy cause, and output like mechanical drones.

Though I did say that 5-8 years ago, a few times...meh..you get my point, which is...[censored]..I don't even know but you get it!
