Video Posting - UGN Security Forum

Well, it's been an idea of ours for a while, but we've been holding it back for a while due to ideas of how it should work and we've finally made some solid ideas...

A quick "how to" on embedding videos into your post:
Google Video:

You don't need to embed the full URL to the post; in fact, if you do, your video won't load; instead, just enter the video id of the video you wish to embed; it should be listed in the URL of the video while you watch it.

We've not yet decided what we're going to do with video posting; so feel free to give us some ideas!

Also, if you've stumbled across a video hosting site that's at least somewhat popular, let me know about it and I'll add a tag for their service.

All that I ask is that you prefix your subject with "Video - ", and keep the videos "Safe for Work" (unless posted in the VIP/Staff forums anyway).

you have an issue in your google video code. Some video ids start with a '-' and your code chokes on it.

Here is an example video

What part of that is the id?

That must have been the only combination I didnt try. Seriously, I edited that post like 10 times. Thanks Gizmo.
