Hollywood actors, writers and directors, through the unions that represent them, have called for talks with Applie Inc. in regards to the new video iPod which the company launched late last week.

The unions are looking for a cut in the revenue that will be generated through the TV shows and videos that will be available through Apple's iTunes software. ABC has already done a deal with Apple to make "Lost" available for download.

The union statement said that "We look forward to a dialogue that ensures that our members are properly compensated. As the representatives for the creative community, we embrace new technologies that expand distribution of material..."
