Reuters exclusively reported that Europe’s antitrust chief, Margrethe Vestager, has warned Apple to treat all apps equally on its platform after its planned privacy changes drew strong criticism from Facebook, advertisers and app developers worried that the modifications would slash their revenues with users likely to opt out from such tracking used for targeted advertising. This is the first comment from Vestager on the issue. She is now investigating Apple over its App Store and Apple Pay policies.
