Hello All,

How would one go about posting a picture on a board such as this one ? You can't just cut and paste a jpg, and I am unfamiliar with the HTML of Java commands to post a photo.
The jpg is on a hard drive and I don't have a url for it on a web server.
I'm confused.... EG

I wanna change this dookie avatar as well, I have a picture stored I wanna use, is that possible and how?

to insert an image look under add reply at "Instatnt UBB Code" and choose image.

If you wana post an image it needs to be online first. You will need the URL. When posting a message click on the button that says image. It will prompt you for the URL

Most free hosters will not allow yyou to hotlink to the pic however.

heh, http://Somesite.com is a registered site and protected with httpaccess.... that is funny. I bet they get a [censored] load of hits.

the picture is not to be posted on this particular board, but on another one. it's some classic cars site my friend at work wanted to post a picture of his 1930's bugatti. real car nerd [censored].
the thing is, the image has no url, it's on the hard drive of a NT workstation at work which i understand can function in the capacity of a server.
linking the picture would lust leave a hypertext link, not the actual shot right ?

and gizmo, what is the going rate for sending you a image i would want as a avatar and you hooking it up ? do you ever get donations ? your site (and whoever else works on it) is very infromational, and i see it having a rather strong tech support function. most of these kids probably come from nice, rich, white families. ( just judging from the content posted we could afford to flow some $, donate to the cause so to speak. i could be wrong and i have known to be an [censored] at times..
anyhoo...i would be more than glad to wire some $. make me an offer...

i know i sound like a [censored] idiot asking about [censored] like this, but i missed the boat when it comes to computers, which i am paying for dearly as i get more educated and realize the disadvantages of my "illiteracy." i still [censored] type with a maximum of three fingers, ahving to look at the keyboard the whole time writing things up for school, and work can be a nightmare if time is an issue.....

I'd say $10 since I'm tryin to get the IRC Server back up. Most of the people here are under 18 so they don't tend to have jobs..

I'm a poor white kid from the suburbs heh... I need $70 to repair one of my servers for the site but no one seems to want to donate when things are down lol... everyone loves the site when its completely up but when somethings down they don't seem to appreciate things...

The IRC server is currently running on my personal computer, so its a pain in the [censored] heh, i'm thinkin that if i don't get the $70 soon to repair the server that the IRC may be down until then but i haven't decided.
