Can I have the entire 80 GB Hd as one partition (C:).
yep.
windows xp will only allow it for format az approx 73gb or so due to it being DD
My d: partition on my 120 gb maxtor was the entire drive, so long as it's NTFS you're fine i believe.
NTFS is 2 terabytes which is limit for mbr. However, using volumes on xp can have 256 terabyte.

fat32 is 32 gig, fat16 is 4 gig
Shame Xp can't read off my linux partition,
if i recall there was some script that allowed that, but i can't be sure if it ever worked since I don't like dual booting...
