Prosecutor: Jacko imprisoned family, forced them to say he didn't molest boy - 07/29/04 03:34 AM
A prosecuting attorney accused pop star Michael Jackson of enticing a young boy, imprisoning him and his family and forcing them to record a video in which they absolve him of molestation accusations. A defense attorney said the charge is "absurd."
It was the first time the prosecution disclosed its Jackson conspiracy theory, claiming he panicked after a TV show made him seem to be obsessed with young boys. "It made him an international object of loathing and scorn," the prosecutor said.
In a TV documentary in early 2003, Jackson defended his practice of sleeping in the same bed with boys.
The theory was presented at a hearing in which Jackson's lawyer asked for all charges to be dropped. The judge is still deliberating.
