Shocking Printer Cables Recalled

Power cords for several models of Hewlett Packard printers have had to be recalled, after indications that they could shock consumers. These cords, produced by Longwell Electronics, have a tendency to break and expose wires.

Everyone with a HP Deskjet series 800 or 900, or a HP Photosmart in the series 1000, 1100, 1200 and 1300 are advised to immediately stop using their printer and ask HP for a free replacement cord.
