Wal-Mart Stores Inc., hoping to profit from the overwhelming demand for digital music downloads, will begin testing its own service on its Web site.
Wal-Mart said the cost to customers would be 88 cents per track. Wal-Mart will gather feedback from customers over the next few months and make any needed changes before the official launch in 2004.
