I was wondering if it was possible to red box a vending machine cause its kinda similar to a payphone. But i dont know if it goes by the coins frequency or by the weight.

Well yeah it's very possible, and easy to do. Simply take a Red Box and tape it to a 20Ib weight and throw it at the Vending Machine...

No not really, Most Vending Machines I have seen use Mechanical systems, not tones. With the dollar slots it's easy cause it only recognizes ones, and size and weight are how it can judge coins, thats why the occasional canadian coin won't work even when used with US money (I live in the US). Again this varies from machine to machine, but for the most part I think they are all mechanical.

uh heh, I don't think Vending Machines carry phoenic tones:X but if they did yea Defcon your right a bluebox might work due to the mecha in them. Liek.....when are they gonna make a millenmium vending machine?:] liek all analog or digital, all talking to you like hal, a red eye looking out, and some pheerness mic/speaker dragon speak voice translation;P

Some older vending machines only work from size and it rolls the coin past size slots of increasing length so a dime will go in first and a quater or dollar peice last. Sometimes by luck as the machine doesnt accept pennies correctly if you keep putting in a penny and hitting return on the machine it will give you back a quater. It can take some time and may not work at all but I've done it before while bored at summer camp

Why dont you just drill a small hole and tie a string to it? Hell, it worked for Donald Duck.

Why not just grab a brick and break in!

Depending on what the machine is made out of a brick may not work.... You may want to take a baseball bat with you...just in case....

hmmm...something tells me though, if you're using bricks and baseball bats to get into a vending machine, you probably have larger problems than just needing to get into that vending machine. lol. although, those little bags of cheeze-its can be pretty addicting.//

Fat Albert eats that [censored] everyday, goddamn are they good.

By the way, shoot me if there are vending machines with frequencies, really. Shoot me. That would just be rediculous.

Besides, you would look like a damned fool putting a box up a vending machine and waiting for a pack of cheetos to come tumbling down.

I read of a mixture but I've never tried it. It included water salt and a 2 liter bottle. it was also before 98 that i read this so it may not work if it ever did.

You take 1/3 salt and out in 2/3 water and shake it take a funnel and pour it in the slot...see if anything comes out. It says that it made the machine short a circut or something with the salt water and it causes the machine to spit out coins and free things. I don't own a vending machine but if any of you do you should give it a try, let me know.

lol, if you pour anything inside the slot, you can [censored] up the machine and get free stuff. Hell, kicking hard enough would do the trick

Or you could Gizmo Style

actually, there's some device down there where the stuffs come out, you can put your hand inside and pull something right there and the stuff will just come out... tried that on machines dispensing drinks... smile

a latch inside eh, neet, never though of that. Well the salt water trick won't work anymore, they have [censored] over wiring now. But something that might is buying a coke, and with a straw blowing some in places where electronic wireing/circuit boards may be.

The Acid in coke, as spoke about on here, is corrosive as [censored]. So it mgiht just burnt the right way, if your lucky like on the key lock there on the front it may just pop the whole [censored] open, and you can gank 10's of cans. Make sure to throw a few at the cops, and throw some to the skaters/freaks in yoru area along your beaten path though, keep that karma flowin;/

The coin trick won't work, as a hanger won't they have safety latches on that trick now unless your around a machine from the 60's/70's heh then go for it...some places around here still have those old refrigerated units, no joke I've used a few. Glass coke bottles, and such. But liek phone used to be the same, you find a phone liek that still in use, your either in a third world country, and your gonna get shot or your hands chopped off. Or your lucky as [censored], cause you have free calls for as long as it's there. My dad used to talk to me about 60's college phreaking, and vending tricks:)
