Israel may have violated agreements with the US government when it dropped cluster bombs in Lebanon during the war with Hezbollah. The US prohibits using cluster munitions against civilian populated areas.

Many cluster bombs remain unexploded after hitting the ground; more than 20 people have been killed and 70 wounded since the end of the war in August. Israel claims to be following international law in their use of the weapons.

US officials state that they expect little further action against Israel. One option being considered is banning sales of cluster bombs to Israel for a period of time. A spokesman for the Israeli Embassy claimed that Israel acted properly in this case.

WTF? We(we being the US) have been using cluster bombs all over the middle east since 2001. There are tons of stories of kids finding un-exploded ordnance in their play areas. Now we are lol investigating our ally for doing it too? Yea right. Another dog and pony show.
can I have the pony?
