Does someone know how to get rid of favorites in IE6. They have made thier way to the top of my list and I carnt delete them. They are just links to casinos/games/movies and useless spam. Im hoping someone else has had this problem and remembers how they resolved it.
I ran reg mech, spybot and ad-aware and it didn't solve the problem. Maybe in safe mode?

I also checked the IE homepage but couldn't see anything that would help.
Or should I just dump IE and go to firefox. Im sick of exploits! oh and I have xp.

Switch to Firefox. Less stress, no exploits laugh

1.) go to C:\Documents and Settings\*User*\Favorites

2.) Delete unwanted favorites

3.) Make file read-only

4.) If all else fails, [censored] about it pissed

It list all running programs and hooks into start-up and IE and stuff, just search around and you will be able to find site that explains what it all means. Its bloody great imo.

Sweet, i'll let you know by wednesday (or before), sorry but i have uni exams, but i'll try and post back asap.
Posted By: Artic Warrior Re: Sticky Favorites - 06/17/05 09:13 AM
Yeah me too. I just had one and am suffering from lack of sleep for this almost over week. Which is what I blame for spelling Myst's name wrong. So I do feel your lack of time to do anything. However I will find the time to watch those 2 movies.

I believe if you read through the posts in the thread then you will realise that you neeed to download the program hijack this and post the log here or if Ntd has time send it to him.
Then we can continue.
