ninjaneo Microwavable Pillow Tosser Registered: 03/06/02 Posts: 229 Loc: CA, USA	Hey, I was wondering how I can... 1. Get my modem to pickup when another modem calls it... 2. Transfer data between the modems. If anyone knows how to use the MSComm control and could help me that would be great. If it makes a difference I have an HSP Micro Modem 56k Flex V9.0 Modem/Fax deal heh. I know the commands to do all of this (Testing in hyperterminal) but I want to do it in VB now. Thanx :rolleyes:

Lets say for example "Dial to RSA/AcctName" or whatever. Just a way of making a server without using TCP/IP once I/We(Hopefully) get the basic server down we can modify it to do whatever our needs/desires want. heh.

nomel Junior Member Registered: 04/08/03 Posts: 27 Loc: CA, USA	In the MsComm thing, there is an event that happens when the modem rings. In most modems, there is also a ring count register (S1). When you get the comEvRing event, just look at the ring counter in the modem if you wanna have it ring a couple times first, or just pick it up there. Look up AT modem commands to control the modem. It's easy. (ATH1 brings the phone off the hook). _________________________ Written using the Dvorak keyboard layout.
