Google today has released a "Transit Planner" (available here ) which will allow users to plan their route from point A to point B over public transportation...

The catch thus far? It's only available for the users of the Portland Metro area (Oregon) through this "beta" phaise.

Portland mass transit provider TriMet is the first mass transit provider listed (of what we hope will be many).

I hate to say this but as j00ish as trimet trip planner is, it's still better then googles... it needs a lot of work before it can go beyond beta. such as taking one of the suggested routs, then they'll rework it...
