this might possibly more hassle than its worth, but thought id give it a try:

how difficult would it be to set up a section where users rate the UGN Security reviewers?
whether u review software/music/movies/hardware, if uv posted a certain amount of reviews, users are able to rate u as a reviewer.

kind of how we can rate fellow members, but this is exclusive to the review boards.
nice incentive to get more people active.

No point... Hardly anyone reviews anything in the firstplace... Yeh, lets drive them off by assigning them a 1 rating when they post a few stupid things... Besides, it'd be redundant as you can rate members already in the first place...

just cant think of any ways to get people to post on reviews forum.

If im looking for a review I just go to imdb which has hundreds of reviews and people participating in threads about the movie (depending on the movie).
I dont think we should get rid of the forum but I dont think we should add to it either with things like imdb out there.

Unless UGN Security is the one stop site for all your online needs. :p

For sure, at no point am i suggesting that we could compete with imdb.
The purpose for our forum, however, is that its done by our users who we know.
Instead of only reading up plot analysis or the credits, ul find most of our reviews are quite personal with the reviewer's (a UGN Security members) take on the subject.

I agree, I just dont think we should have a user rating for reviewers.

why not? with user rating we know how much other people like the movie. it's like critic who give movies 4 stars...

That I like. Rating the movie by giving it stars or spuds etc is a good idea. But we dont need a program for that. Why not just type in what you gave the movie at the top of the post.

Donnie Darko
(4 stars)
This movie is based on a book by......

Or something. I was disagreeing with the Idea of rating the raters.

Too bad, I WANT you to rate a movie if you're reviewing it; I don't want to just hear "this sucks" I want to know on a scale of 1 to 5 how you liked the movie/show/product... 1 it absolutely sucks, not worth shit; 5 it was perfect, I can't think of anything better!
