If you recieve a cable broadband internet connection, on that same line is broadcast your basic cable signal. In order to recieve it and your internet just install a splitter before your modem. Attach one side to your TV(s) and one to the cable modem. Then you get your basic cable thats being broadcast anyways and the broadband connection you pay an arm and a leg all in one. Note: this does not work for digital cable(at least I havent tested it) or for HBO, showtime, etc..maybe with a converter box(havent tested that either)

well I highly doubt it since the signal is already there in the first place. I talked to someone who does this regularly and no it does not make it "noticeably" slower.

i disagree blackpimp, it seems to me that it would work sorta like sharing a broadband connection on a network, your splitting it between to devices, and it still works at full speed on both. so i think they would both be up to full speed, or atleast so close that you wouldn't notice

That only descrambles digital cable, not analog. Make sure your DIGITAL cable box is made by one of those manufactuers.
If you purchase it be sure to tell us how it worked out for you.

I just recently bought digital cable but I don't want to pay $85 a month for HBO cinamax pay perview etc. I was wondering if anyone would know not just if this particular product would work, but this concept would?
