UGN Security is holding ian Image Contest. To the winners of this contest goes a POP3 email account (you@undergroundnews.com).

We're looking for three types of images.
102*47 (Button)
468*60 (Banner)
88*31 (Button)

(for those non technical its larger number = width).

We need two sets of images made up. One is for UGN Security and another is for HostNuke.

I made this in paint. I copied a bit from the UGN Security banner above for the background then pixel painted the borders and barely noticeable 3D effect for the text.

Please note that a contest isn't a contest without numerous submissions.

This contest ends November 15th. You can still submit work after this date until the 30th, but your images will be farther down on the listing.

Voting on images will happen soon after the deadline. All members will be allowed to vote on which image(s) are the best. First by author(s) then secondly by image.

I'm too lazy to make other buttons. But I will offer the button above in the following border styles (or combonation of)

Well look around the site, theres the color scheme, we plan on keeping the scheme pretty much as is.

I will try to make some and get them in. I need a place to host them though, will UGN Security's board let try to use a txt as an image? I have heard I can rename the image .txt on a lycos server and it will work. It gave me crap about it not being a valid image type on other boards though. I will edit this post with the images when I make them.

I liked very much the button that SR made. It was nice, the binary banner UGN Security by Gizmo was also good. I'll work to make some images myself too than i'll post em.

P.S. Are we gonna vote for the best imagine, or Admins will decide about that ?

Everyone will have a chance to vote on diff banners. Basically there will be a poll posted that has 3 diff questions (Best Banner, Best Small Button, Best Large Button) which all will be posted in the /contest/ section on UGN Security when I finnish it (its a temperary page so it will look like shit).

For the images out of porportion you can just change the sizes, it won't throw some off too much, bp's for example doesn't even look like it wasn't made in that hehe..

looks good, if you work on it anymore, you might consider blurring the background like my original, i liked that part of it. however, its easier to read the words in yours, good work.

Nicely done BP, the reason that I didn't like the first VNC graphic is because the URL was wrong (.com is a porn site) and the font looks like it sais "FAG" design instead of "PRO Design" heh... Good work as always, can't wait to see more :x...

i just used jasc animation shop 3. it's pretty good.. i'm sure how to do everything yet.. just played with it for the first time about 2 days ago. so i'm quite new at it. but.. you can just download it here:

I use Adobe Imageready 3 for animations and rollovers. I would recommend using it if you have Photoshop6, since they work together extremely well. You can make it in photoshop, then send it to IR and animate it in there.

If you use PSP, then I assume Jasc Animation Shop 3 would be the best choice. Not sure though, I only used PSP for 60 days (trial version).

I use Microsoft GIF Animator. It's simple and small, perfect for a pixel-painter like me.

I made this little dude with it.
