Nintendo has released information on a new peripheral for it's Game Boy Advance system. The so-called "e-Reader" will read old NES games and other information off of collectable trading cards.
The cards will contain many classic NES games, and will also be included in a new Pokemon-e trading card game. The reader works much like a credit card reader in a grocery store.
Each long card strip will be capable of holding up to 2.2 kb of information in a possible total of 2 strips per card. The "e-Reader" uses "Dot Code Technology," courtesy of Olympus Optical Co., Ltd.
