A hacker group specializing in software for Microsoft's Xbox announced late Monday the release of the first full version of Linux for the game console.
I had heard that Microsoft's efforts on fighting modchips had hurt the linux effort on xbox. With the changing of some of the internal components I know it rendered all the current modchips useless. There has been some new modchips out on the market already for the reconfigured xbox, but I haven't heard anything about linux concerning this. That article mentions needing a modchip to run the xbox-linux, and since linux is that versatile it shouldn't be an issue.
Sorry I tend not to make sense a lot. I was saying they didn't want linux on Xbox at first, why they [censored] up the mod chips etc... But now they gave in... Was sort of joking, lol sry. That's MS, they don't want mod chips, they want to rule all.
