This long-term Red Hat Linux user has given an honest look at Gentoo, and has concluded that the stereotypes surrounding this distribution are false. After all these years, I have finally found my new distribution: Gentoo Linux.

sounds like a sweet Linux Distribution. The problem is that i am sorta a newbie in linux, and the installation sounds pretty complicated = (

I'll stick to Slackware, Slackware is pretty good, Its not that hard to install and maintain, and also gives you the freedom to do anything.

If you can install slackware, then Gentoo shouldn't be a problem. I switched from slack and I ain't goin back
