The Independent Media Center (IMC)announced that several of its web sites are offline because federal law enforcement authorities seized several servers located in London, England. The servers were owned by Rackspace, a company based in the US.
Hep Sano, a San Francisco IMC member, says: "We don't know why it happened. We did not receive a copy of the subpoena. Right now, we're trying to organize legal help to figure out what the procedure is."
The FBI did recently ask the organization to remove pictures which supposedly featured undercover Swiss police in them. This might explain why the servers were seized. The FBI did not comment. Rackspace will not comment either.
