The brown cloak with the hood worn by actor Sir Alec Guinness when he played Obi-Wan Kenobi in the original Star Wars Trilogy is to be auctioned by Bonhams. The cloak is expected to fetch upwards of 50,000.

Also on sale are other items such as suits from 007 and costumes from Doctor Who which will probably fetch prices well into the thousands of pounds. For the bargain hunters costumes from the Spice Girls' movie should only go for 500.

The items come from Angels The Costumiers who started in 1840 and have supplied costumes to 26 films which have won the Oscar for "Outstanding Achievement in Costume Design". The items are being sold because of high insurance and lack of space.
