I was just wondering.... lets say u connected at 26.4 Kbps (like me, ha), woudln't your average download speed be 2.64 or sumthing like that. Someone told me it but i've seen my downloads vary so i dunno. [Shit] [?]

Well you have to factor many things in. It won't always be 2.64kbps. I connect at 28k ;o\ and it changes all the time. It depends how fast the connection you're downloading from is. For me it can be from 2kbps to just a little over 3kbps. THat's all the info I can give you.

I usually connect at 52.0 out of my 56k my usuall download speed is at about 4.60 or 5.10 i dunno around there..

nah, i own all yall wit my 24k on a 56k modem... its the shit... i specially like it when i get disconnected every half an hour... if im lucky ill make it 2 hours or more.

Im about to move... the wiring in the this shithole is awful but we have all secure and nice wires in the new house... if that dont atleast boost my connection some or make it more stable ima fuckin call the phone company and givem hell to fix their shit cuz my neighbor gets about 36 to 48k. Does it cost to get the lines tested?

someone i know goes to UC Irvine, and they got a T1 line and sometimes when its at peak usage its slower than 56k =/

My college goes a max of about 16MB/sec
It averages about 500Kb/sec though.
